Nick Mela is a retired Technical Lead Aerospace Engineer whose lifelong passion for music has been every bit as significant as his professional career. A dedicated keyboard player and performer for more than five decades, Nick has entertained audiences throughout the tri-state region of New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania, building a reputation for musicianship, versatility and a genuine love of live performance.
Nick’s musical journey began at the age of thirteen when he started playing the accordion. As his interests expanded he transitioned to keyboards and quickly developed a deep appreciation for the sounds of rock, blues, R&B and classic dance music.
Over the years Nick performed at countless venues and events, including bars, restaurants, private parties, weddings and community celebrations. His performance resume includes appearances at Sons of Italy venues in Philadelphia, the Tower Club, Vietnam Veterans organisations, military officers clubs and numerous beach venues along the Jersey Shore.
Nick currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Central Delaware Blues Society, where he helps promote blues music, support local musicians and strengthen the regional music community. He joined Reunion Band in May 2026.
