About The Band

REUNION is an eight-piece “Classic Rock ’n’ Soul” ensemble whose roots are traced to a number of rock ’n’ roll bands formed in Kent County, Delaware during the mid-late 60’s and early 70’s.  More recently, we have expanded our core musicians to include northern Delaware and southeast Pennsylvania.

While some members have performed continuously for over three decades, others played during their high school and college years, then paused to build careers and raise families. In 2007, the passion was reignited by the “Dover All-Stars Reunion Concert” in Rehoboth Beach, bringing together over 30 area musicians to re-create the musical magic of the 60’s and 70’s. The Draw, a new band with built-in history, was created and performed from 2008-2011; its too brief run ended after the untimely deaths of two founding members. In late 2012, three of the original members recruited additional talented musicians, and REUNION was born.

You can catch REUNION playing all over the state of Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania and always looking for new venues and events! Check out some of their upcoming shows, browse some past events, or request a booking!

SAM MICHAEL

SAM MICHAEL

Lead Vocals, Guitar

Sam was born into a musically-diverse family; his mother was an opera singer, and his grandfather played mandolin in one of Philadelphia’s string bands. Schooled in music theory and on guitar, he began playing & singing in rock bands at 15. He played electric guitar in his high school’s “Big Band” and jazz ensemble, as well as at his church. After a break, Sam returned to rock in the 90’s, playing bass with a Rolling Stones cover band and working with a trio playing originals. After 2000, he began doing solo acoustic gigs in clubs, plus acoustic classic rock with another guitarist & keyboardist. Sam’s vocal and instrumental versatility adds to Reunion’s broad audience appeal.
ROBERT MARSTON

After years of determined practice, Robert began his “band career” in 2010 with Bare Feet, a Lewes-Rehoboth ensemble. He became a founding member of Reunion in 2012 and has been having a blast ever since! He loves playing in a band with a horn section and is motivated by seeing people up dancing, having a good time & responding to his music.  Robert’s musical tastes focus on Classic Rock’n’Soul of the 60’s and 70’s, plus blues of all kinds.
